The challenge
Bloominess serves business clients across the Netherlands with floral arrangements, but their supply chain ran on manual processes. Orders arrived via email and phone, stock levels were tracked in spreadsheets, and seasonal peaks led to stockouts or overstock. Without data-driven insight into demand patterns and supplier performance, scalability was impossible. They needed a system that doesn't just digitalise but also predicts and optimises.
Our solution
We built FIPS (Floral Integrated Procurement System) — a B2B portal with automated workflows as its backbone. Clients order online through a configurator showing real-time availability and pricing, automatically fetched from supplier systems. The platform analyses historical order data to recognise demand patterns and proactively adjust stock levels. A management dashboard provides insight into revenue, product popularity, and client behaviour, ensuring decisions are driven by data rather than intuition.
